When U.S. District Court Judge Graham Mullen issued a temporary injunction against NASCAR’s suspension of Jeremy Mayfield yesterday I have to say I was among those who were surprised. Like many people I thought this part of the lawsuit would come and go without any major story. I was wrong. I was also surprised by the language used by the judge. Fred’s , the sponsor for Jeremy Mayfields car, does not want him to drive this weekend at Daytona. A judge issued a temporary injunction to allow the driver to get back behind the wheel at Daytona International Speedway this weekend.
